Narrative

Sylmar - At 2:30 AM PST the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services issued an evacuation order for Oliveview Hospital.

CARE responded with 8 BLS and 2 CCT ambulances and assisteds with evacuations until power was restored to the hospital and they were able to shelter in place.

These units were released at 08:00 AM.

Orange - 1:30 PM - CARE Ambulance activated the EOC. Orange County ambulance services were polled for resources and placed on standby awaiting OC EMS activation.

Brea - 3:30 PM - CARE Ambulance was requested by Kindred Brea to assist in the evacuation of Kindred Brea Sub-Acute Hospital in Brea. CARE responded to the request with ten (10) BLS ambulance ambulances, and four (4) Critical Care Transport ambulances staffed with 3 respiratory therapists..

CARE transported 18 patients to other Kindred facilities and were done with the assignment and released at 9:00 PM.

At 7:30 PM - CARE was requested to send an additional BLS strike team to evacute 15 patients from Sunrise Assisted Living Center in Brea. This assignment was completed at 9:30 PM.

The EOC was shut down at 10:00 PM and is scheduled to be reopened at 8:00 AM.
